Creative is offering a series of beginning sewing classes.
Whether you want
to learn to sew or would just like some refresher courses,
we have them for you!
Beginning Sewing
Sew-A-Robe
Date: January 8 Saturday
January 22 Saturday
Time: 10:30am.
Cost: $40 (includes both sessions)

This is the third in the series for beginning or refreshing
sewers. We will use Kwik Sew pattern #3177 and some great
cozy fabrics. Pick up the supply list and choose your fabric
when you register for class. Let’s get sewing again; this
class will be FUN! Maximum class size is 6.
Sew Creative Bag Lady
Date: January 14 Friday
January 21 Friday
Time: 2 – 5pm
Cost: $40 (both sessions included)
 Requirements:
Special fabric kit $24.99. Kit contains all fabric, batting
and notions needed to make the bag. The Tote Bag Book” by

This is the class for the special bag so that you, too, can
join the Sew Creative Bag Lady discount program. There is a
special embroidery design for the bag pocket; if you do not
have an embroidery machine yet, let us know when you
register that you need to use one of the store machines.
This is a great class for beginning sewers or those who need
to refresh. Learn quilting with the walking foot and use the
bias binder. There are 2 sessions so homework is not
necessary and help will be available from beginning to end
of the project. (Instructions are available with the fabric
kit if you are unable to attend class.) You will need:
sewing supplies, pins, scissors, chalk marker, walking foot,
bias binder. Class is limited to 6 with minimum of 3
students.
Grids & Grommets
Date: January 28 Friday
Time: 10:30am. - 4:30pm.
(You are welcome to bring a sack lunch.)
Cost: $25 plus cost of pattern & fabric

sizes; we will make the small version to use as a purse.

instructions to be prepared for class. This purse takes 9- 2
1/2 inch WOF strips,
1 1/2 yards for lining, pockets & handles and 4 (1") shower
curtain grommets. You
will need to bring your machine (in good working order) with
a full bobbin of
correct thread color. If you prefer, rent one of our class
machines for a small fee.

Sergers BERNINA

2-4pm. (Coverstitch sergers)

Information for all levels. Bring your
serger, manual and accessories. A
fabric kit will be provided. You will need
serger thread—one spool of red,
blue, yellow and green. Optional attachments
and specialty threads used on
the serger will be discussed.
(1300MDC,1300DC & 009DC owners may take
a lunch break and stay for coverstitch session to
follow.)
Software
BERNINA Cutwork Tool
Date: January 29 Saturday
Time: 10:30am.

In this introductory lesson, learn the
software basic commands and how to
set up a pre-digitized design for use with
the cutting tool. Proper technique
for successful cutting will be covered.
Please bring your laptop with the
software and its current service pack
(available from
BERNINA
USA)
installed, the Cutting Tool dongle, mouse
and a USB stick. Also bring your
BERNINA
Embroidery Software
dongle; we may have time to practice
editing a design to use as cutwork or appliqué.
Class Policy
Please register early to avoid disappointment because a
class is full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
Withdrawals from class must be made at least one week prior
to class. After that time, refunds are not available, but
you are welcome to send someone in your place. Be sure to
clean and oil your machine before class so it is ready to
sew. |
